Rowing Australia (RA) today confirmed the 2020 Underage National Selection Trials have been rescheduled to take place in July 2020. RA is positively responding to the call from the AIS and AOC for all sports to “prioritise the health of athletes, coaches, support staff and wider community by limiting the impact of the pandemic on our national health care system” at this time.
The 2020 Underage Selection Trials, where RA selects its Under 23, Under 21 and Junior Australian Rowing Teams, were scheduled to take place on 20 to 25 April at the Sydney International Regatta Centre. The new date in July will be confirmed in due course.
In addition, the Pathway VIIIs racing will not take place. RA will discuss with the Pathway Network to see if there is an opportunity to revisit the Pathway VIIIs proceeding in 2020, with a further update to follow.
Any nominating athletes or coaches with queries should, in the first instance, contact their State Pathway Lead.
