Tickets and Entries Open for the 2017 Sydney International Rowing Regatta

Rowing Australia is excited to announce that tickets sales and entries for the 2017 Sydney International Rowing Regatta (SIRR) are now open via the official ticket seller, Ticketek and the official entry portal, Rowing Manager.

This marquee event on the rowing calendar will once again head to Western Sydney, returning to the Sydney 2000 Olympic legacy venue, the Sydney International Regatta Centre, Penrith (SIRC).   The seven-day regatta will be held from Monday 27 March to Sunday 2 April, featuring the King’s and Queen’s Cups Interstate Regatta as well as the Australian Open and Schools Championships.

This year’s event also sees the inclusion of some fantastic new off-water events for coaches, competitors, rowing clubs and schools to get involved. This is a chance for the rowing community to hear directly from Rowing Australia’s High Performance and Sports Science staff on various topics including all things rowing, such as Injury Prevention, Under Age Selection Trials Information and Nutrition tips.

The Rowing Australia Breakfast Briefings will be held each morning of the regatta, from 7am to 8am, in the Olympic Room and are free.  To register and find out more on the specific topics as well as other events for Clubs and Schools visit the new look SIRR website here.

Full information on how to purchase tickets can be found here on the new look SIRR website, with tickets starting from $20.40.  There is once again no cost for parking your car at the venue during the event.

Spectators and competitors will again be treated to a showcase of some of the best Australian rowing and para-rowing, be it in the Australian Open Rowing Championships, Australian Open Schools Rowing Championships and the King’s and Queen’s Cups Interstate Regatta.

Rowing Australia would like to again thank the State Government of New South Wales, via Destination New South Wales, for their ongoing support of this event.
